a photo of love

i was taking pictures for my project 365 and it so happened that these random things in my kitchen caught my attention.

actually, i just finished baking and that's the reason why my hand mixer {still saving for that kitchenaide ;-)} was out.

this photo includes things i am in love with right now. bananas on a green plate. green water pitcher. green oven mittens in the background. my hand mixer with green buttons/controls. and JP's lego in a green container.

i love bananas. i love green. i love to bake. and i love JP's lego {a gift from ninang yoyin} because it keeps him busy while i do my housework. no 'mommy, dito ka. wala akong kasama' because of this lego. :-D

and one other thing i love: blog candies! carla is so generous to share some of her Making Memories Chloes Closet stuff to a lucky reader/commenter. so go on and visit her.

:twilight:

i find it very amusing to read from fellow scrappers the track record they keep on the times they have seen the movie. {now i can't wait to have my own copy so i can start counting too : heehee : but i am just sure that i won't get to do that : with work and family : hmmm : we can all watch it together heehee}

haven't really gotten into checking out my Twilight movie companion but i can tell you that it's full of pictures {full pager - yeah}. um mm. imagine an 8x10 edward staring at you. :-D

photos from the shooting of the film with little facts about the stars. looking forward to a quiet day off to engulf myself back to the twilight fever. :-D

a beautiful mess

this is what i can call my scrapping table today. those are stuff brought home by yoyin from her US trip. something from Marisa, something from yoyin, stamps i ordered from Technique Tuesday and Scrapbooks Hawaii.

and i have to say that i was overwhelmed. especially with that pretty page about me and Ruben. and of course, my Twilight movie companion. {thanks mars for bringing all these home} :-D

first kiss

this was a surprise from our good friend, mareng yoyin. she created it using Scrapbooks Hawaii debut kit 'First Kiss'. she actually made this layout while she and Marisa were enjoying the recent CHA.

if you want to see what the Scrapbooks Hawaii 'First Kiss' kit is about, visit Marisa. and you'll see more projects done with this kit at her site.

and another lovely page from this kit by a very talented Pinay scrapper, bjay.

{i know, this is a wake up call for me to create more pages about me'love heehee}.

a wonderful {un-stressful} week ahead to everyone. :-D

wow!

that's what i can say about Christine's retreat house. and i just envy those who are able see the house in person and get to stay there. the nicest thing about it is that it's a scrapping retreat house. you can scrap and relax (can you even do that? heehee)... enjoy a scrapping getaway. so hop on to Christine's blog for a chance to win a RAK.

and here's the link, for those who would like to see it. :-)

yet another giveaway. (found the link from issa's blog). Monica is giving away yummy goodies as her belated blog-anniversary. head on over there and show her some love. there are inspiring cards posted there and your cardmaking mojo might just be boosted.

hope y'all have a wonderful Valentine's weekend. :-D

why don't you take a minute and show these girls some love

dawny

andrea

and how i love the {fairytale} feel of Webster's Pages Magical Wishes line. makes me want to scrap and to reminisce my love story with ma'hubby. {heehee, i am such as sucker for earth colors and a hopeless romantic too}. and this line shows off those qualities. why not visit Webster's Pages for a glimpse of the whole collection.

on another note, so valentine's is less than a week. what have you been up to? made some cards and hopefully, i'll be able to post some pictures soon. :-D

my take

got bjay's permission to lift her 'bjay decoded' page because i knew it would be apt for these photos i had laying around from last year for scrapstars november challenge (which i didn't get to do).
i hope i did justice to it. shemps, ibang level ang powers nya. hihihi. i am glad that others (like her) are so generous to allow lifting of their pages, it helps a lot when you are stucked in a uncreative mood. ;-)
here's my page.
journaling: dubbed tnapay by college barkada simply because TNA was too short (for them) as my nickname...it stuck and I {kinda} love it... =)

{ thanks again bjay :-D }

the newest addition to the family

meet reiv . our nephew. a new cousin for JP.

and this little cutie is the baby of ruben's cousin {that's her in the pix below}

babies are {just} so adorable. they make you want to sniff and touch them all day long. uhhmm.

pictures overload

i have inserted the brochure from an outing using paper clip and on the following page (using the back of the paper clip) were the stars that my jp brought home from school
i plan to continue this pattern of inserting momentos from everyday using paper clips or envelopes.
my ali edwards stamps were initiated in this project. :) have more stamps coming when yoyin comes home. will be using those in this project.
the journaling blocks and the 'week of' cards were downloaded from Becky's page.

and i am just so happy to use even the tiniest piece of paper scrap. :) a great week ahead to everyone. TFL!

my 2009 project

i am optimistic {almost sure as of today, hihi} that i'll be able to stay committed with my version of the project 365. :-D

it still saddens me how unfortunate it was not to have been able to order a kit. but i decided that since i am scrapper, i will scrap my Project 365. :-) {yey}

and i am grateful for the free download over at Becky's. these will give my album a touch of Becky but what i am very glad about is that it will be a fun way of using up my scraps of patterned papers. {yes. use up all those boxes of scraps} :-)

and i wanted to share how i will go about my album.

*the binder on the left will hold my weekly pages. it is an old 10x8 3-ring binder. it already looks spent {which i totally love} but i still sanded the edges {for more drama, hihihi}

*my pages are kraft cardstocks cut to a height of 8 inches and i folded the excess to create a flap

*i will arrange my weeks (a landscape of 2 pages) where the left page includes the flap

*and then, i will use the project 365 elements on every page but the twist is that because i am using cardstocks for my pages instead of divided page protectors, i will scrap each week using pictures, journaling cards (Becky's) and some flat embellies like ribbons, stickers and simply use my date stamps and words (mostly Ali Edwards' and technique tuesday's designs) to label my photos and journals

the only drawback i have with my alternative is that i need to work using a small space, so i decided to resize and collage my pictures using photoshop, include at least 1 picture a day and 1 journal. and for the days when i have really nothing to journal {or was not able to take pictures at all}, i bought fancy pants patterned papers with sentiments which i can cut up and use on my weekly pages.

got to put together the first 2 weeks pages today and even if it is just the start, i was in the verge of losing hope because by the time i get to 40 pages, my album will not be able to hold more. but i really am so excited to complete this {long term project} so i thought of a solution. i can compress 2 weeks in one page. {great idea, tna: hihihihi}. one problem solved. at least i know that my album doesn't have to be perfect so no matter if it has flaws, what's important is that i am documenting our life and this will be something that the 3 of us can look back at.

will share more pictures later. have a blessed Sunday everyone.
