our pride and joy

i simply am a quiet person. and i am so shy in letting other people know how i feel. as a mom, sometimes, the happiness you feel about your child's achievements is so intense that you just want to share it to the world.

a few weeks ago, i have finished a minibook about our son's first year in school. you can say that it was a months-in-the-making project because i really do not know how to document his first time school experiences. glad that i found the solution in a mini. will have to post the pictures of the album at a later time when i have printed the journaling (i still cannot love my own handwriting {sigh}).

meantime, while i am into the proud-of-his-achievements mode...i decided to use his kindergarten recognition pictures for the kaya challenge.

Journaling: it was your first experience of school...no daycare...no summer classes...we only had blue's clues, Dora and little Einstein for your training but you sailed through kindergarten with flying colors...top of your class...amazing for a first timer...and you made us very proud...

Materials Used: CS: brown ; PPs: office lingo Pink Paislee, Karen Foster; inks: versacolor white, versafine sepia, colorbox gray & brown; alphas: AC Thickers Gift Box, Pink Paislee holly doodle and EK Success stickers; Inque Boutique stamps; AAS corrugated board; Scenic Route chipboard; yellow string; button; edge scraper tool

  3. hi tna,
congrats! being the top of the class is certainly no trifle at his tender age so you deserve to be super proud of him. the layout is simply great too.

  4. thanks jasmine. :-D hubby and i are really proud of him, especially on this particular award because we didn't have an idea that the award was for being the top of his class. just imagine us(hubby and i) on his recognition day so giddy and nervous at the same time.
