first card

when i started scrapbooking, i have learned so much about crafts (cardmaking, altering, mixed medium, etc) and wanted to try them all. to see which one i liked best. at first, i thought that creating a card is as simple as doing a layout. oh boy, was i mistaken. i find it hard because you have to make something without using a picture. unlike doing layouts, the picture is the base element because embellishments, papers and colors will depend on the picture. i gladly tried doing this card (inspiration came from Christine and Carla - i just love these girls). i had a hard time doing this (i tell ya). but i was glad of the outcome. :-D

i used 3 colors of cardstock (white, black and gray), a ribbon, some bling, a charm, thickers, stamps and my white pen. i used a friend's threading water and scallop punchers when we had a crop night a few months ago. i didn't imagine i'll be using them for my first card. thanks for looking! :-)
