more cards...

...for a card swap.
made these cards for jasmine and will send them to her within the week. {too much of my son's school activities leave us all out of time to do other errands - but i know that jasmine undestands}.
sharing these cards and hopefully, my card frenzy won't stop here. thanks for looking. :-D

for a change:something altered

i made this clock for a friend's sister. was actually thinking of doing a layout of her daughter but decided to alter a clock instead [so that they'll be able to use it as well].

got inspiration from a lot of pinay scrappers (Cabbie, Cookie, Gracie Ann, Cel, Sandra, Marix, Nita - they are just a few of the scrappers who inspire me).

thanks for looking! :)

distressed.

...not me, but my layouts.

it seemed that i got hooked with distressing that the pages i made during my off were full of it. ;)
take a look...

...these layouts were full of it. heehee. TFL! :-D

Christmas is just around the corner...

...and what better way to brighten your loved ones holiday but with a greeting card.

i used 2 colors of cardstock (red and green), red rhinestones, a Christmas stamp, ancient pages ink (green), a ribbon and some flowers (posies, white and red). i also inked the edges with red colorbox ink. {oops! i used ranger ink glossy accents on some part of the stamped image - thanks Christine ;-) }

still thinking on what sentiments/message i will include in the inside of this card (hmmm, i'll probably print out a quote). and since i find this card simple to put together, i might (just might) reproduce it to be attached to the holiday goodies we usually give out to our families and friends every year. (am so excited, not just to make the cards - about Christmas too!) :-D

thanks for looking. :)

first card

when i started scrapbooking, i have learned so much about crafts (cardmaking, altering, mixed medium, etc) and wanted to try them all. to see which one i liked best. at first, i thought that creating a card is as simple as doing a layout. oh boy, was i mistaken. i find it hard because you have to make something without using a picture. unlike doing layouts, the picture is the base element because embellishments, papers and colors will depend on the picture. i gladly tried doing this card (inspiration came from Christine and Carla - i just love these girls). i had a hard time doing this (i tell ya). but i was glad of the outcome. :-D

i used 3 colors of cardstock (white, black and gray), a ribbon, some bling, a charm, thickers, stamps and my white pen. i used a friend's threading water and scallop punchers when we had a crop night a few months ago. i didn't imagine i'll be using them for my first card. thanks for looking! :-)
