wreckfas

that is breakfast to us and wreckfas in my son's vocabulary. heehee. when he first learned to label each meal, he cannot pronouce breakfast and i find it cute when he says wreckfas in the morning.

now, i just keep those funny facts at heart as i see my son growing faster that i can't seem to catch up. everyday, i see him growing taller, slimmer from the cute, chubby little boy that he was. our little boy. he would often correct me when i call him baby. and i would always tell him that no matter how big he gets. even when he is already bigger than daddy, he will always be my baby. our baby.

glad.

yes, i am.

was able to start on a project today. glad {me} because i got to use my old supply of beads {old=bought when i was in college} and the untouched jump rings from my short exploration of accessory-making from 2 years ago {still in their plastic wrappers}. kept all my things in spice bottles and good thing these were within reach when i read Artz de Scrap January challenge.

and for someone who isn't very creative {me}, i gotta have some booster to get me {mojo} started {inspiration=talented girls from Artz de Scrap}. uh-huh. these girls will make you think twice the next time you try to dispose anything from your last general {house} cleaning.

it is their blog anniversary, so let's show the girls some love. check them out and their beautiful creations here. :-D

i am happy to report...

...that i have been up to date with my project 365 {me=happy}. aside from daily pictures, i get to jot down our usual routine (using an old planner), special occasions and more everyday happenings since the year started. anyway, i won't have any problems if i missed one day because hubby keeps tab of our daily activities {yeah, he really does}.

and it seems that i wont really have a chance in getting that kit {sad}, i am busy trying to achieve the Becky Higgins Project 365 look. i crossed out the possibility of using divided page protectors cause {i think} they aren't available locally {sad again}. i am into using an old cute little 3-ring binder {hubby's old planner}. it's color brown {i love}. it looks a little spent {rugged, heehee}. will get a hold of kraft cardstocks to be my pages. and since Becky offered some of the Project 365 design to download {free} at her site. i think, i can pull off my own Project 365 (with the Becky Higgins look).

meantime, this is what i was able to do over the holidays.

mickey tags for my tote and my bag {i just love mickey}

thanks for looking and hopefully, i'll be able to scrap more this week. {baby wants to go to grandma/grandpa=more time for myself&hubby=more time to scrap=yipee!}

before we return to normal mode

here's one last post about Christmas/birthday before i set my mode to regular programming (heehee - and that includes laundry, housecleaning, cooking, scrapping, and a lot more).

during the holidays (even when i was still a student), it is my self-imposed obligation to try and get everyone a present. be it a serving bowl for mom, a shirt for dad, stationeries for sissy and caps for bros and {being the crafty little me} i usually embellish my gifts to seem like they are worth more {whispering: 'but not really'}. this year, was not an exemption. i still tried to get everyone something and (still did that crafty thing to make them seem worth more that how much i got them). heehee.

well. i really don't always mind not getting that {double} number of presents (for Christmas and for my birthday of course), but this year, i was overwhelmed with my Christmas/birthday presents. because each has something that i love in it from the people whom i love. {doesn't that just sound mushy? heehee} . wanted to share a piece of my happiness last {Birthday}Christmas.

and it was this holidays that i was able to take a very wonderful shot of the 3 of us. {it is a first time - to have a decent Christmas picture that is}. TFL! and one last time, A Wonderful New Year to everyone.

31

years fly so fast. you don't really notice. 31 years old.
a day before Christ's birthday was when i turned 31.
it is a day of thanksgiving.

my favorite first shot...

...from my new camera, of course. :-D

am still ecstatic at the fact that i now have a new camera to replace our canon point and shoot that died of natural causes. new cam. no more excuse NOT to capture THE moment.

here's my favorite. wanted to share it with you.

TFL and a happy, scrappy weekend to all. :-)

the more i am dedicated to complete project 365 + my little word

documenting one's life everyday isn't probably a new idea but becky higgins project 365's approach was so simple that i found myself very much interested. i originally planned to order a kit {after convincing hubby to lend me his credit card, heehee} but it is no longer in stock. it may take weeks or months even to have this available again but i am willing to wait.

i emailed becky higgins on how brilliant her idea of documenting 'everyday' for a year in a very simple way. and hearing back from her made me want to really stick to it. with a kit or none, i will find my way to complete project 365. this year. and for years to come. it will be something that i can leave my family with. i am not much of an artist that is why i am buying this very simple concept in documenting everyday moments that we tend to forget as days, weeks, months, years pass by. not anymore. i have found a way to make these memories tangible. thanks becky for the inspiration. i have found another person to add on my wall of idols. ;-)

as for you, have you found that inspiration?

speaking of idols. ali edwards. uh-huh. i love. inspirational. uh-huh. got to think of my little word for 2009. i chose EXPLORE to be my word for this year. being a very shy person (i am an introvert, really). it isn't late for me to explore what life has to offer. i am going to take those classes that i have been putting off (cooking/baking and dressmaking classes). i(we) will travel more. i will read more books (with my son). i will try to get out of my comfortable shell and simply live. live simply. that i am inspired to do.

project 365

yep. 365 days. one year. that is what this kit is about. it is the brilliant becky higgins concept and i really hope that i can stick to keeping my entries updated.

started taking those pictures for my very own album and settled using an old planner so that i can document my everyday memories (journal).

too sad that there weren't enough kits but i am still hoping (crossing my fingers here) that the demand will be met and all scrappers around the globe will get a hand on one of these kits.
